What are the responsibilities and job description for the SENIOR TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM VOLUNTEER position at City of Bullhead City?
Transports passengers safely and efficiently in a curb-to-curb transit system. Volunteer will operate a senior transit van for the purpose of transporting passengers. Volunteer must possess a Valid State Driver's License. Tasks may include completing reports related to vehicle operations and maintenance; monitor vehicle status in order to schedule preventative maintenance and repairs, assist passengers by loading and unloading items such as groceries and packages; operates wheelchair ramps; secures ADA passengers or any items that need to be secured. Inspects service van and cleans the interior of vehicles. Volunteer must also have the ability to obtain certificates in some training courses that include but are not limited to: CPR, Defensive Driving, First Aid and Passenger Assistance Techniques.
*All Volunteers will be trained regarding ADA securements and proper wheelchair ramp set up.
This is a non-benefited, non-paid Volunteer position with the City of Bullhead City. All Volunteers are subject to complete a successful and thorough background check that includes a drug screen.
LICENSING & TRAINING:
