The Firefighter/Paramedic position is intended for individuals who are already certified as both Firefighters and Paramedics. This position requires specific certifications but does not require prior service experience. Burnsville Fire is a full-time career department that responds to all hazards and provides advanced life support emergency medical service transport capability to our community. Our 55-member department operates out of two fire stations, is ready to serve at a moment's notice, and actively engages with the community to reduce risk and increase safety awareness.

- Quickly and safely responding to emergencies with proper equipment.
- Extinguishing fires and providing medical aid to injured persons.

- Performing regular inspection of buildings and fire hydrants.
- A valid Driver’s License
- I.F.S.A.C. Accredited Firefighter II Certification
- Current National Registry Certification as a Paramedic
- Currently certified or eligible for certification as a Paramedic in Minnesota
- Eligible to obtain MN Firefighter licensure immediately upon hiring
- NIMS IS-100, NIMS IS-200 and NIMS IS-700 (Complete the classes here)
- Successfully completed a Hazardous Materials Operations NFPA 472 Compliant Class

Salary : $93,600 - $119,080
