The City of Calistoga is a full-service city providing a full range of services including police and fire protection; planning activities; code enforcement and building inspections; park facilities, aquatics, and recreation programs; construction and maintenance of streets, public buildings, and other infrastructure facilities; water production and distribution; and wastewater collection, treatment, and recycling.
The Position of Administrative Services Technician (Public Works)
Under the general supervision of the Public Works Director, the Administrative Services Technician will be responsible for tasks such as:
- Processing permits (e.g., encroachment, tree removal, oversized vehicles).
- Managing invoice processing.
- Maintaining fleet tracking data and records.
- Supporting RFP and grant administration, including tracking, reimbursement preparation, and report generation for funding agencies.
- Annual and quarterly reporting assistance for utility (Stormwater, Water, Sewer, Recycle) and agreement administration tasks
- Environmental administrative assistance (SB1383, Stormwater, Recycle, water/sewer, etc…)

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- Education and Experience: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college-level coursework in business or public administration, finance, accounting, or related field. Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience performing complex technical and/or programmatic duties in payroll, finance or accounting.
- Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
