- High school diploma/GED.
- Two (2) years of experience that demonstrate skill progression and working knowledge of modern GIS programs, i.e., ArcGIS, and/or related software applications.
- ESRI ArcGIS Certification or ESRI training certificates that demonstrate proficiency in GIS essential commands, data editing, and essential workflows, or obtain within one (1) year of hire or promotion.
- Performs skilled to highly skilled technical work in the processing and maintenance of municipal geospatial data for underground and above-ground infrastructure.
- Updates, verifies, and transfers geographical data and prepares maps and reports as directed.
- Converts various forms of data in updating and maintaining municipal geospatial data, enters new data, changes and/or transfers into the GIS system.
- Maintains municipal geographical data and ensures the integrity and accessibility of data for all City departments.
- Receives updated data, site plans, and architectural drawings to maintain accuracy in the Enterprise Geodatabase; analyzes GIS Layers and Maps for quality and inaccuracies.
- Operates computers, plotters, and printers to make maps and/or PDF's, and maintains files and records of completed maps and other documentation.
- Performs other related duties as required.
