Education and Experience
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Programming or a related field.Four (4) years of experience in network hardware and infrastructure, programming and troubleshooting.Licenses or Certifications
Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.Must possess FDEP Water or Wastewater Plant Operator certification, depending on assigned facility, (minimum of C level license) or obtain within two (2) years of hire or promotion.Key Responsibilities
Operates, maintains and updates the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and other networking, telecommunication and telemetry equipment and infrastructure necessary to run / control the plants in the City's utilities infrastructure system and transmit plant information from field devices to servers and workstations.Collects and reviews accuracy of plant computer data required to prepare reports for regulatory agencies.Tests, writes, configures and implements new applications of purchased software and system programs. Translates software programs when necessary.Maintains network, telecommunication and telemetry equipment / hardware responsible for transmitting / storing plant information to ensure efficiency and security of data.Please review the full job description by clicking on the link below.
