    A bit about the role

    This role is part of the Wilson Botanic Park (Berwick) team within the Community Life division, which is dedicated to fostering healthy, active, and connected communities. The division achieves this through a range of services and experiences, from birth to older age, including community facilities, events, and programs.

    As a key member of this team, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations at Wilson Botanic Park Berwick. This includes delivering exceptional customer service, handling event and program bookings, and offering support to ensure everything runs smoothly. Some weekend work will be required, as you'll also provide weekend supervision to oversee the park's operations and events.

    This is a part-time, limited-tenure role, with 15.5 hours per week, lasting until February 2026.

    What you'll delivery

  • Manage a diverse range of visitor enquiries, ensuring specialised information and resources are readily available.
  • Manage facility events and coordinate the booking process for internal and external hirers using City of Casey software.
  • Assist with the preparation and development of promotional materials, articles, presentations, correspondence, and reports.
  • Draw on a range of information sources, experiences, and benchmarking to identify new ways of working and continuous process improvement.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, upkeep and maintenance of the Visitor Centre and hireable spaces.
  • What you'll bring

  • Relevant qualification and / or work skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to convey information clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency in diverse computer software packages including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Victorian Driver's licence.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Functional Assessment (Medical / physio).
