What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Library Assistant (Community Center) position at City of Cedar Falls?
The Cedar Falls Public library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant whose primary responsibilities will be in the adjacent Community Center. The position hours will be 29 hours per week including some evening and weekend hours with a four-hour shift at the library every other weekend.
Duties will include assisting Community Center patrons with rentals, programs, facility usage and operations; performing services at the library service desk(s); providing clerical and technical assistance to professional library staff; and performing other tasks as assigned. Experience working with seniors will be helpful.

Qualifications
High school diploma, or equivalent, and at least two years of customer service or administrative experience required, preferably in a library &/or community/senior center setting. Strong customer service, clerical, and organizational skills, and detail orientation also required. Post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen will be required for the selected individual.

The current pay rate is $18.85/hr., and the position is eligible for annual increases, pro-rated holidays/vacation/sick leave benefits, tuition reimbursement, wellness, and retirement plans.
