SEASONAL PARK MAINTENANCE TECH

JOB SUMMARY:
This is a seasonal, non-benefitted position requiring approximately 30-40 hours per week from May-August. (Additional hours before or after the summer season may be available, depending on departmental needs) This position is responsible for performing maintenance duties related to City property and parks including landscaping and irrigation repair.
DUTIES:
- Mowing/trimming of landscaping at City parks and properties
- Oversee general care and maintenance of turf, planting beds, etc.
- Clean and care for maintenance equipment
- Operation and use of light equipment and hand tools
- Maintenance and cleaning of park facilities
- Assist in maintenance records and reports
- Additional duties performed, as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Requires ability to work in outdoor conditions
- Able to safely operate mowers, edgers, and other equipment/tools
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems, including maintenance and repair
- Able to communicate effectively to ensure smooth maintenance operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred:
- maintenance, or equivalent education/training
- Current and valid drivers License
SALARY: Starting salary range is $15.00-17.00 hourly, DOE
