JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analyst will play a key role in evaluating business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to gather and interpret complex data, and excellent communication to collaborate with stakeholders across departments.- Facilitate business process analysis with stakeholders to identify and match technical solutions with business requirements.
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into actionable insights.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to facilitate the integration of systems, optimize existing technology, and apply timely/effective software upgrades.
- Assist in project management tasks, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership through presentations and reports.
- Document processes, requirements, and risks that guide development and implementation of systems.
- Coordinate IT projects with stakeholders to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and scope-aligned delivery.
- Assist in resource allocation, and the coordination of training to support project outcomes and system enhancements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Three (3) years of experience in business analysis with some experience in project coordination or support roles.
- Preferred Certifications: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Project Management Professional, or similar. Knowledge of project management practices required.
Reports to: Director of Information Technology
Directs: This is a non-supervisory position
Other: Works closely with City departments, co-workers, general public, and representatives of various organizations and agencies.
