About this Opportunity
Supports the Utilities Department in developing, analyzing, and implementing rates and ordinances. This role plays an active part in the budget and bonding process and contributes to cost-of-service and rate model analysis.

- Leads accounting operations for water and wastewater services, including evaluating and refining operational processes, standard procedures, and customer service and collections programs
- Manages financial reporting generated by the Customer Information System to ensure accurate, transparent, and timely data
- Contributes as a valued member of the Utilities department's executive management team
- Provides thoughtful supervision and support to team members, including assigning tasks, offering guidance, and conducting constructive performance reviews
- Oversees and contribute to cost-of-service and utility rate studies
- Assists in the preparation of the annual budget, budget amendments, and annual audits
- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with industrial, commercial, governmental, and other external stakeholders
- Develops and presents data-driven reports that support program evaluation, policy decisions, process improvement, and organizational planning
- Performs related work as required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field and a minimum of five to seven years of experience in payment processing, data entry and analysis, and work with general ledgers OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience (i.e., one year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of education)
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations
Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Salary : $88,317 - $123,573
