The City of Chandler Development Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a GIS Specialist. The position is scheduled to work Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. Currently, we have one position open in our GPS field data collection area. We are looking for someone who is passionate about GIS and field work, and has experience in collecting field data using GPS equipment, interpreting civil construction plans, and GIS data maintenance in ArcGIS environment.

Minimum Qualifications
The City of Chandler will conduct a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.

Minimum Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED; and
- 3 years of experience in computer aided drafting and computer mapping and/or GPS surveying using GPS surveying equipment; and
- A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record, or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Operating GPS equipment in the field;
- Experience with GPS field data collection;
- Reading and interpreting civil engineering construction plans;
- Experience in ArcGIS;
- GIS data maintenance using ArcGIS;
- Familiarity with wet utility data
