The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Recreation Aide (part-time, temporary, non-benefited) at our Signature Camps. This position serves at the discretion of the department director. This position is ongoing, part-time temporary, and will serve at the discretion of the department director. The position is scheduled to work various hours and days.

We’re seeking someone to instruct the youth, implement planned activities, and supervise children ages 5–13 during school intersessions. The ideal candidate will be energetic, creative, and capable of using independent judgment while managing programming.

Minimum Qualifications
• Some High School; no experience required; and
• A First Aid/CPR Certification is required within 90 days of employment; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience in a recreational environment working with children
The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.

These policies have not been altered by the passage of Proposition 207. The use of recreational marijuana is a violation of the city’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy. Certain positions within the city are required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.
