Hours per Week: Part-Time - 28 hours/week (Monday through Friday)
Business/Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (½ hour unpaid lunch)
Starting Pay Rate: $12.00/hour
General Description
This position supports custodial and facilities maintenance operations within the City of Charleston's parking system. It is designed for youth ages 16-20 and is performed under close supervision, following established procedures.
Employment dates run from June 2, 2025, to August 8, 2025, with possible extension based on employee availability and departmental needs.
Responsibilities, Tasks, and Projects

Custodial and janitorial tasks within parking facilities

Painting and light maintenance duties

Inventory tracking and supply organization

Other duties as assigned by supervisors
Candidate Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older

Ability to:

Walk and climb stairs throughout multi-level parking structures

Stand for extended periods

Lift up to 25 pounds

Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors
Dress Code

Casual attire (jeans or work pants without holes)

Uniform shirt will be provided and required during working hours
Additional Qualifications
