POSITION DETAILS
Seasonal Position: 5 Months, Start Date: 5/1/2025, End Date: 9/30/2025
Hours: 40 Hours/Week, 880 hours Total
POSITION PURPOSE
This person carries out the daily duties of putting course office worker by providing service for the purpose of promoting return business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
Collect putting course fees and make change. Issue clubs, balls, scorecards and pencils. Explain and enforce course rules and regulations.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting the public using positive public relations and image to the City’s benefit
- Responsible for the opening and closing of the office as scheduled.
- Sell putting course plays and collect fees from the public using a computerized Point of Sale system
- Answering the phone in a polite and professional manner using good public relations.
- Explain and enforce putting course rules
- Responsible for marshaling the course to reduce turf damage.
- Provide knowledge of the area and events to the public.
- Reconcile daily work using computer program and cash drawer.
- Responsible for documenting all complaints and accidents according to procedure.
- Responsible for the daily cleaning and neat appearance of the putting course office inside and out.
- Hand Water Grounds as instructed by Course Groundskeeper
- Water and weed flower beds
- Pick-up litter on premises and empty all garbage containers
- Perform other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed in an office setting as well as outside on the putting course
- Employee is subject to shift work and working weekends and on all major holidays
- Putting Course will close on days where weather prohibits the use of the course
- Employee will spend prolonged periods outside in the elements
- Appropriate preventive measures to sun exposure need to be taken.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires the ability to understand and speak English.
- Must be able to hear instructions given.
- Must be able to operate a computer.
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
- Must be able to see to marshal the course.

- Knowledge of opening and closing procedures
- Knowledge of facilities and equipment used in the operation of the Putting Course
- Knowledge of Chelan area to inform public of history, events, activities, and services
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License with driving record free from serious or frequent violations.
