What are the responsibilities and job description for the Streets Superintendent position at City of Cibolo?
The City of Cibolo is seeking a highly motivated Streets Superintendent that provides leadership and direction in order to coordinate activities in the Streets Department and other support activities. This position develops, initiates and coordinates plans, policies and directives pertaining to Street activities. Has the daily responsibility for management of street/roadway and traffic control devices, on the job training, maintenance program, monthly, weekly, daily manpower/man-hour scheduling, scheduled inspection and inventory procedures. Aligns employees and service areas with their mission(s), reinforces commitment to their purpose by sharing performance indicators, and drives continuous improvements to deliver superior service delivery. Responsible for developing employees through constructive feedback, performance evaluations, and professional development. Demonstrates fiscal stewardship, with an understanding of budgeting and oversight of public funds. Ensures effective coordination and communication with City Officials, City departments, state, regional and local entities, media, consultants, the general public, and/or private sector representatives.

- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): required.
- Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in planning and supervising the safe operation of medium or heavy equipment, project construction, or applicable maintenance activities, to include two (2) years of administrative or supervisory responsibility.
- Must have a current work zone, flagger, and shredder certification, or able to obtain within two (2) years of hire date.
- Valid Texas Class “C” Drivers License.
- Must be able to obtain CPR certification within one (1) year of hire.

Compensation: Salary range is $68,439.53 - $103,573.65 (DOE) plus outstanding fringe benefits package which includes 100% fully paid employee health, vision, dental, and life insurance, generous retirement package, 13 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday that is awarded at the beginning of each fiscal year, 2 weeks of vacation, and so much more!
