The City of Claremont is seeking a Project Manager to assist the Director of Planning & Development in coordinating with other departments, as well as day-to-day management of specific development projects, particularly related to development and redevelopment efforts throughout the City.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinates application, administration and implementation of Planning & Development Block Grants.
- Facilitates and administers other Federal, State and local grants.
- Interacts with the public, regional and state agencies frequently.
- Identifies project elements and assists in developing and reviewing development agreements.
- Establishes and monitors project budgets.
- Coordinates contracted or City work required as part of City development obligations with other department or divisions.
- Processes and approves payments to contractors and vendors, and monitors and reports on project status.
- Writes detailed or technical reports of all findings, conclusions, and recommendations based on a thorough analysis and interpretation of data for presentation to others.
Desired Qualifications
Two (2) years of progressive experience is required; bachelor’s degree with major course work in project management, economic development, engineering, business or public administration, or closely related field; five years of responsible experience with municipal, state, or federal government; or performing work related to project management and/or community and economic development in private business.

Pay: $54,710.96 - $89,252.74 per year
