The City of Clayton Public Works Department is now accepting applications for the position of Mechanic Foreman . The Mechanic Foreman performs in a lead capacity to plan, schedule, direct, and supervisor the work activities of Fleet Maintenance personnel and participates at a journeyman level to perform a wide range of mechanical work in evaluating, maintaining, and repairing automotive and mechanical equipment. Fleet Maintenance staff perform work on City fleet cars and trucks as well as on non-traditional vehicles such as Zambonis, street sweepers, fire trucks, ambulances, Police vehicles, and more!
The Mechanic Foreman role is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to manage daily fleet services and take part in long-term planning and budgeting of the Fleet Maintenance division. All equipment such as tools, boots and uniforms provided upon hire. City Fleet Maintenance staff are able to expand their mechanical knowledge by having employer-provided training opportunities to receive ASE and EVT Certifications.
