GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Under general supervision, performs general upkeep of public restrooms and trash pick-up at Shepard Park & Fischer Park.
Hours/Shifts will vary based on staffing needs. Hours range between 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Park hours reduced in the Fall/Winter months. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Inspects parks grounds, picnic areas, parking lots, dune crossovers and restrooms to ensure that park is clean and there are no hazards for visitors.
• Assist visitors with parking kiosks when necessary.
• Monitors Shepherd and Fischer parking areas.
• Inspects and, as necessary, cleans bathroom and other guest facilities for two City parks.
• Report out of order kiosks.
• Assists the public by giving directions or general information.
• Collect money for parking on occasion during Special Events.
$13.30 / hour, weekends a must.
Qualifications
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
Must have basic math skills including handling cash.
Graduation from high school and any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Valid Florida Driver’s license, Class E, with a clean driving record. Weekend work is possible. Selected applicant will have background/credit check done.
