Description
Graduate Engineer I Salary Range : $64,336.00 - $96,503.00
Graduate Engineer II Salary Range : $68,839.00 - $103,261.00
Engineer I Salary Range : $ 73,658.00 - $110,487.00
Under general supervision of the Transportation Planning Coordinator, the Graduate Engineer / Engineer assigned to Transportation & Mobility performs engineering work related to the review, construction, investigation, development, and design of engineering projects and permits; assists in planning, coordinating, and implementing multi-modal transportation and greenways projects and programs; performs professional and technical work to support long-range transportation, thoroughfare, and greenway systems planning programs, including traffic engineering and planning studies; and the preparation and implementation of policies and programs relative to multi-modal transportation and greenways.
Principal Duties
Qualifications
Required : Graduate Engineer I
Bachelors Degree in civil engineering
Valid Texas Drivers License
Texas Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, preferred
Graduate Engineer II
Bachelors Degree in civil engineering and two (2) to four (4) years of civil and / or transportation engineering experience or educational equivalent
Texas Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain by reciprocity within six (6) months of date of hire
Valid Texas Drivers License
Engineer I
Bachelors Degree in civil engineering and four (4) to six (6) years of civil and / or transportation engineering experience or educational equivalent
Texas Professional Engineer (PE) License, or the ability to obtain by reciprocity within six (6) months of date of hire
Valid Texas Drivers License
Preferred : Transportation engineering specialization or experience
Experience in municipal government
Management or supervisory experience
Public speaking experience
