Description / Position Overview
This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Worker's Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees' Retirement Association).
Approximate length of employment will be up to 6 months. Scheduled hours will vary based on department needs. Total hours worked will not exceed 1,500 annually.
Weekly Schedule: Monday -Friday, 07:00am-3:30pm

Essential Job Functions- the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:
- Assist with snow removal on park property, including parking lots, sidewalks, roadways, and regional trails
- Monitor park boundaries for encroachments, unauthorized entry points, and fencing needs
- Collect data on park assets and trail conditions utilizing GPS (global position system); analyze using GIS
- Participate in trail construction, improvement, and restoration; Check signs for accuracy or damage and clean/replace as needed
- Prepare reports on resource issues, visitor surveys, and other park projects
- Report, document, and clean graffiti and other vandalism
- Pick up litter and report suspicious items; clean restrooms and empty waste receptacles
- Report evidence of unauthorized camping
- Assist visitors by providing aid or answering questions
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver’s license not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
Preferred Qualifications
- Landscape, maintenance, or construction experience
- Experience using GPS units and software
