Program Administrator I - Westside Community Center
About the Job: In this position you will oversee and coordinate programs, while actively engaging and collaborating with community members to bring a wide variety of in-demand and cost-effective programs and services the Westside Community Center. You will also manage rentals, contracts, and lease space for the Westside Community Center rental spaces.
Job Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Some evening and weekend hours may be required based on department needs

As a Program Administrator I, you will:
- Seek proposals from service providers, develop partner programs/contracts, and recruit assistance in the delivery of multi-generational, in-demand programs, services and events
- Recruit partners to provide enriching and cost-effective, in-demand programs for the Westside Community Center
- Collaborate and provide guidance to community-based organizations to develop and schedule services, programming and events to maximize community center usage
- Assist with the overall management of rental/contract-use groups utilizing the community center
- Lead marketing efforts for services, programs and events; coordinate promotional materials and recognition of partners and sponsors
- Cultivate positive relationships and provide excellent communication with area residents, community organizations, partners, and rental users
- Coordinate working committee meetings on a monthly basis
- Actively solicit feedback from program/event participants to ensure that program offerings meet desired objectives; compile and track program success metrics
- Assist with volunteer recruitment and coordination within the department, specifically for the Westside Community Center
- Assist with facility operations including supporting facility setup, maintenance, and general operations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Microsoft Office systems
- Knowledge of principles and practices of program development and administration
- Knowledge of contracts and rental agreements
- Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate new service delivery methods
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field
One year of full-time, professional experience in recreation administration or a related field

- Possess, or obtain within three months of hire, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and First Aid certifications
- Designation as a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP)
- Experience developing recreational programming for youth, adults, and senior adults
- Experience developing and maintaining contract agreements
- Experience with ActiveNet Registration Software
Salary : $66,042 - $79,282
