Aquatic Center Operations Manager Job Description:
Under the direction of the City's Parks and Recreation Department, the Aquatic Center Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the municipal pool.
The successful candidate will supervise a team of seasonal staff, ensure compliance with water sanitation standards, and perform lifeguard and water safety instructor duties.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in pool operations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and certifications in Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instruction, First Aid, and CPR.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train seasonal staff on aquatic center operations
- Ensure compliance with water sanitation standards and regulations
- Perform lifeguard and water safety instructor duties as needed
- Develop and implement safety programs and emergency response plans
- Manage staff schedules and administer payroll
- Perform administrative tasks such as budgeting, reporting, and maintenance coordination
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., recreation, parks, or hospitality)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pool management or a related field
- Certifications in Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instruction, First Aid, and CPR
