Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree or 2 years of college coursework in Criminal Justice, Park Management, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields preferred.
- Class A Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) License.
- Valid driver’s license.
- CPR Certification.
- Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws.
- Proficiency in using law enforcement vehicles, equipment, and technology.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, solve problems effectively, and provide top-notch customer service.
- Environment:
- Work is primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent exposure to challenging environments, including extreme temperatures.
- Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
- May require wearing respirators and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Schedule:
- Variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
