Job Description Summary
The purpose of this job is to be a visible presence in City parks and trails with a goal of providing safety and security to all visitors. Performs law enforcement work involving prevention, detection, and investigation of criminal acts, apprehension and arrest of law violators, and safeguarding of lives and property. - Patrols city parks for to prevent, detect, and respond to criminal activity and dangers to persons and property.
- Assists Parks and Recreation with administrative and security-related tasks for public events.
- Participates in ongoing training and maintains required certification and licensure.
- Provides court testimony as necessary.
- Performs administrative duties; completes and maintains accurate records and documentation.
- Participates in meetings.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory authority. Work does require providing guidance and training to others.
