As a Park Safety Officer, you’ll provide law enforcement services, assist during public events, and help safeguard the natural spaces that make Columbia an exceptional place to live, work, and play.
Key Responsibilities :
Park Patrol and Safety :
Conduct patrols of city parks and trails to deter criminal activity and respond to emergencies.
- Safeguard public and private property, ensuring a secure environment for visitors.
Event Support :
Assist the Parks and Recreation Department with administrative and security tasks for community events.
Law Enforcement :
Investigate criminal activity, apprehend violators, and prepare detailed and accurate reports.
Administrative Duties :
Maintain thorough records and documentation.
Training and Development :
Engage in ongoing training to maintain necessary certifications and skills.
