The purpose of this job is to perform entry-level skilled work to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution infrastructure. Performs heavy physical labor and operates a variety of construction equipment, commercial vehicles and tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. - Assists in the installation, maintenance and repair of water distribution infrastructure.
- Operates a variety of motorized equipment including heavy to light construction equipment, commercial vehicles and hand/ power tools.
- Assists in the loading, hauling and operation of specialized equipment and tools in the installation, maintenance and repair of water distribution equipment.
- Assists in receiving and responding to service calls and providing emergency maintenance and repairs to water distribution infrastructure.
- Assists in providing customer notifications.
- Maintains safe work environment and adheres to safety standards.
- Documents work performed and collects information for as-built documents.
- Provides customer service.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- No supervisory authority. Work may require providing guidance and training to others.

Education and Experience - An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of related experience.
Licenses or Certifications
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no air brake restriction within 6 months of hire.
- Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification.
