Job Description Summary
Facility Manager will be supervised by the Aquatics Supervisor / Specialist. Manager will : provide correct, courteous answers to telephone and verbal inquires; supervise all aquatic facility staff according to established policies and guidelines; supervise recreational programs and instructional classes; ensure all rules, regulations and safety practices are properly enforced; ensure patrons receive appropriate first aid and report all accidents to supervisor; provide a healthy and sanitary facility for patrons through continual cleaning; be required to have a basic understanding of the pool filtration and chlorination system; assist with in-service training and employee schedules; complete and submit all required reports; maintain open, efficient, lines of communication with management staff, aquatic employees and direct supervisors; assist with department wide events; and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must : be at least 17 years of age; have a current nationally recognized Lifeguard certification (StarGuard Elite, American Red Cross and or Ellis & Associates); have two years of lifeguarding experience, 3 years preferred; be able to clearly see across the entire pool to recognize swimmers in distress; have proof of 20 / 20 corrective vision; be able to hear whistle codes and patrons across pool area; have physical endurance to respond to emergencies; be able to lift up to 50lbs; participate in weekly in-service trainings; be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; attend manadatory staff meetings; purchase approved uniform and follow dress code policy; and must have excellent customer service skills.
