Are you passionate about water safety and ready to make a difference? The City of Coppell Community Experiences Department is seeking dedicated Lifeguards to join our team at The CORE! We're hiring for Seasonal Lifeguards , offering flexible opportunities to fit your schedule and interests.

As a Lifeguard, you'll provide essential support to the CORE Manager, Aquatics Supervisor, and Aquatics Coordinator. Your responsibilities include monitoring the aquatics facility, responding promptly to emergencies, and enforcing compliance with pool safety rules and policies. You'll also play a key role in maintaining the pool filtration system, conducting water quality tests, and addressing public relations issues or complaints with professionalism and care.

Schedule Commitment :

We are hiring for Seasonal Lifeguards to support the needs of our aquatics team and create a safe, enjoyable environment for all patrons this summer season!

  • Seasonal Lifeguard : This position requires a flexible schedule during the summer season from Memorial Day to Labor Day , averaging 20-30 hours per week and including weekends, holidays, and nights. There are multiple training opportunities as early as May 2. As this position is a seasonal role, we ask all candidates to be mindful of their vacation plans as time off during peak summer months may affect job responsibilities and overall team performance.

Pay Structure

This opportunity is non-exempt with an hourly rate based on assignment :

  • Lifeguard $15.00
  • Lifeguard Shift Differential $16.00
  • Swim Instructor $16.50

    We are currently accepting applications for our 2025 Summer Season Lifeguard positions.

    Eligibility

    Experience :

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment : background investigation, drug screening, and physical

    Ellis & Associates lifeguard certification is required and provided on site. Must be able to complete the following prerequisites in order to obtain an Ellis & Associates Lifeguard license :

    200-yard swim

    Retrieve a 10 lb. brick from the bottom of the 12 ft. pool (feet first)

    Tread water for 2 minutes with no hands
