Summary
This position performs semi-skilled work in the Parking Maintenance and Collection Division. Work requires familiarity with basic repair and maintenance practices for parking and streetscape infrastructure in the ROW and surface parking lots. Work is assigned, monitored, inspected, and performed under the direction of a supervisor. Incumbent will also assist with collection of cash from parking and revenue control systems within the ROW or surface parking lots.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assists Parking Maintenance and Repair Worker to repair, maintain, and install revenue control equipment and signs.
Repairs, maintains, cleans, and installs parking and streetscape fixtures, equipment and infrastructure in the ROW or publicly operated parking lots. This includes but is not limited to curbs, asphalt, wheel stops, signs, landscaping, pavers, street furniture, and sidewalks as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.
Collects cash from parking meters (Single space and pay stations) on prescribed routes. Delivers cash to Money Room for counting, sorting, and packaging. When cash is delivered to the money room, the processing of cash and all other related activities must be completed in accordance with approved Money Room SOP’s.
Delivers materials to various City locations. Transports equipment to Automotive Department.
Keeps daily records of work activity. Logs collection and or parking meter keys in and out.
Reports vehicle hazards. Provides information and assistance to motorists.
Operates pressure washer, jack hammer, grinder, post straightener and various other equipment or tools required for maintenance or installation of meters, pay stations, signs, parking infrastructure and fixtures in the ROW or Surface Parking Lots.
Operates On-Street Parking Maintenance and Collection vehicles as needed to perform assigned tasks.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year experience in related semi-skilled maintenance work
Valid Florida Driver's License.
A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

HOLIDAYS: 15 days including 3 floating days.
SICK LEAVE: 96 hours annually.
ANNUAL LEAVE: 80 hours in the first year of employment, increasing up to 188 hours after 25 years. Employees must take 40 hours of annual leave each year.
BEREAVEMENT LEAVE: 5 or 10 work days for the death of a family member in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement and the City's Personnel Rules & Regulations.
MEDICAL INSURANCE: Fully paid by the City (HMO Select). Coverage becomes effective 1st of month following 30 days. Employee may purchase coverage for eligible dependents at a cost of approximately 50% of the premium.
DENTAL INSURANCE: Available to all employees through payroll deduction.
LIFE INSURANCE : Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment equal to 1 x annual salary, fully paid by the City (up to $200,000).

LEGAL SERVICES: Legal Service plan available at a cost to employees through payroll deductions.
DEFERRED COMPENSATION: Employees are given the option to defer a portion of their pre-tax salary into the 457 Deferred Compensation Program.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT: $2000 per semester ($6,000 maximum annually) for approved college coursework.
SAFETY GLASSES: Required safety glasses are provided every 2 years.

As of 6/14/2016 - DEFINED CONTRIBUTION: 401(a) - Contribution by City of 7% of employee base annual salary. Vesting period 5 years. Employee not required to contribute.
