Description
Responsible for supervising a group of special needs children; planning activities, such as games, tournaments, special events, arts and crafts. Responsible for the safety of the group of children.
Summer Camp 2025 dates are to be determined, tentatively June - August 2025
Days will be Monday - Friday, any time between 8 AM - 4 PM.
- Please be aware this is a seasonal position, so consistent availability is key in staffing our summer camp. Any time off requests need to be shared as early as possible in the hiring process and are subject to approval based on staffing needs.
Examples of Duties
Typical Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED and at least one year of college required. Must have experience working with special needs children / teens. Basic knowledge of recreational activities for special populations in a community or clinical setting.
Specialty certification related to Special Populations in the area(s) of recreation, physical education, health, sports, exercise, music, or closely related is preferred. College course work in therapeutic recreation, recreation, adaptive physical education, physical education, special education or closely related field preferred.
Please note : Candidates with strong relevant experience have the ability to potentially earn higher than the posted pay rate.
