What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Pops Summer Seasonal Assistant Site Directors 2025 position at City of Coral Springs?
Responsible for supervising recreation activities assigned as part of the program for special populations at the site. The ability to exercise some independent judgment in working out details of assignments. Supervise and assist in evaluating counselors. Ability to solve problems as they arise and exercise supervision. Responsible for contact with parents.
Summer Camp 2025 dates are to be determined, tentatively June - August 2025*.
Days will be Monday - Friday, any time between 8 AM - 4 PM.
*Please be aware this is a seasonal position, so consistent availability is key in staffing our summer camp. Any time off requests need to be shared as early as possible in the hiring process and are subject to approval based on staffing needs.
Specialty certification related to Special Populations in the area(s) of recreation, physical education, health, sports, exercise, music, or closely related is preferred. College course work in therapeutic recreation, recreation, adaptive physical education, physical education, special education or closely related field preferred.Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as camp sites (schools, Gyms), field trip venues, outdoor areas and buses, e.g., use of safe work place practices with equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations.
