The City of Coral Springs City Attorney's Office is seeking an Intern to join our team this Summer!
Rate of Pay:
Undergrad - $15.00
Graduate/Law* School - $18.00
Summer Internships are planned to run from June 9th to August 1st. The program goal is to introduce college and university students to the various aspects of municipal government. The program is designed to provide students with real experience to enhance their academic and professional endeavors. This is an entry level position that offers the opportunity to gain experience in municipal government and multiple areas of law assisting with a variety of projects.
Examples of Duties:
• Performs research and analysis of legal issues
• Compiles, proofreads and revises drafts of memoranda of law
• Attends public meetings as directed
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
• Attend court hearings and assist attorneys as directed
• Reviews contracts, resolutions, ordinances, and other documents for legal sufficiency Currently enrolled in law school and will have completed and passed their 1L Coursework before the summer academic semester. Intern hours vary according to the needs of the City Attorney's Office. You must be willing to work approximately 20 - 24 hours a week during the Summer academic semester.All Interns will be required to pass a background screening which may include criminal history searches, education verification, etc.
