What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3 Month Parks Maintenance Worker position at City of Cottage Grove?
The City of Cottage Grove is now accepting applications for Full-time Seasonal 3 Month Maintenance workers in the Parks Division. The position will start in May/June and will end in August. 40 hours per week, hours will be Monday-Thursday 6:30am-3:30pm and Friday 6:30am-10:30am. Position responsibilities include general care and maintenance of an elaborate park system including but not limited to turf, ballfields, playgrounds, buildings, shelters, trails, trees, irrigation and landscaping. Applicants should be highly motivated towards the department's mission of providing a high quality park system for Cottage Grove residents and visitors to recreate and enjoy.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license.
- Formal education or practical experience in mowing and/or landscaping.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools and riding lawn mowers.
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety practices of the trade, including trimmers and riding mowers.
Salary : $15 - $17
