What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Grounds Worker position at City of Cottage Grove?
Under the general direction of the Golf Course Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent, work on a wide range of activities involved in golf course maintenance.
- Operates powered equipment mowing putting greens, aprons, tees, fairways, rough, and clubhouse grounds
- Change cups, tee markers, fill divots, remove trash
- Rake and maintain bunkers
- Trim trees, prune shrubbery and removing debris
- Plant, water, and weed flower beds
- Assist in construction projects; grading, preparing soil and planting
- Operate equipment and hauling materials
- Assist in equipment maintenance and repairs
- Perform other related duties and assume other responsibilities as delegated
- 16 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Be able to work early morning and occasional weekends
- Follow oral and written direction
- Knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in golf course and grounds landscape construction and maintenance work
- Ability to safely operate motorized equipment
- Work independently and as a team
Salary : $14 - $20
