What are the responsibilities and job description for the Park Maintenance Sports Turf Seasonal Intern position at City of Danville?
The City of Danville has internship opportunities available in the Park Maintenance division of the Parks and Recreation department for the summer of 2025.
Performs a variety of administrative and technical duties as assigned to provide management support and participate in special projects; This position is designed to provide students with professional experience in furtherance of their education and training. Work is performed under direct supervision.
Assists with various tasks and projects that are directly associated with the academic program in which they are currently enrolled; May conduct research and perform analysis of assigned projects; May be trained to coordinate a procedure or minor program under direct supervision; Attends and participates in office meetings; May attend in-house departmental training.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Related coursework in area of interest; Possess critical thinking skills; Ability to effectively communicate in both writing and speaking; Experience with Micro Soft Office Suite and other software as required by position; Ability to adhere to city policies; Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, Department Directors, and the general public.
