What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Park Ranger position at Douthat State Park?

Hiring Rate: $14.00 per hour
Job Duties:
The Maintenance Ranger focuses on the daily upkeep of park facilities and grounds. Duties include, but are not limited to, restroom and facilities cleaning, trash removal, and grounds maintenance. Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry is not required, but helpful. Valid driver’s license required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a general knowledge of basic care and use of hand tools, power tools, and cleaning supplies.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
- Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.
Additional Considerations:
Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry.
Special Requirements:
A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.

- Free camping outside of the Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day period in sites designed for up to six people.
