This position is responsible for unskilled manual labor in assisting staff in performing various repairs.
TYPICAL CLASS ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Operates equipment in performing various labor tasks in an assigned area, including setup and take down of equipment.
- Assists staff in performing sewer, water main, and related repairs.
- Cleans and maintains hand tools and power tools, and related equipment.
- Provides lawn care services.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance, including attendance at required meetings.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); related experience preferred; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
POST-EMPLOYMENT OFFER REQUIREMENTS:
- Satisfactory completion of background check and a pre-employment physical and drug screen that tests for illegal drugs as defined by the Federal Drug Free Workplace Act but not those legalized under Michigan law.
- All appointees are subject to a one-year probationary period.
