WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office and moderately loud when in the field.
SELECTION GUIDELINES
Position leads a variety of administrative and semi-skilled tasks in the operation of programs, game room, and special events for the Athletics/Aquatics, Recreation, Theatre and Senior Services Divisions.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Position works and leads under the general supervision of the Recreation, Athletics/Aquatics, Building Maintenance, Theatre and Senior Service Supervisors.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Partially supervises part-time program aides with the help of the Recreation Specialist(s), Coordinator(s) and program division supervisor(s).
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Drive City vehicles including trucks, passenger vans and buses
- Assist with programs and trips as assigned or as needed
- Will Supervise Program Aides in the evenings, weekdays & holidays
- Must be available Monday thru Sunday during the year
- Specific to each division, may oversee the general operation of the game room or gym, Maxwell Center or Theatre with the assistance of the Recreation Specialist(s), Coordinator(s) & Supervisor(s)
- Typical duties will include but not limited to: online registration, opening/closing buildings for meetings, light custodial duties, assist with programs & special events, work rentals, clean vehicles, run errands, program events, administrative duties, handling cash & deposits, completing required reports
- Assist with training program duties

- Education & Experience: work experience with the public desired, good communication skills, knowledge of computer usage, great attitude, flexible, office skills, finance skills
- Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Customer Service skills required
- Tools & Equipment Used: (Not limited to) personal computer, calculator, copy/fax/scan machine, phone, portable radio, automobile, hand truck, IPAD, tablet, cell phone, computer / registration software, cash register.
- Commercial Driver's License: Required or able to obtain within 90 days
