Routine semi-skilled maintenance and manual work in the care and upkeep of City facilities. Work is performed under general supervision.

- Perform helper and semi-skilled tasks in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, dry wall, concrete, tile and patch, HVAC, roofing and conduct safety inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Perform custodial functions, general building maintenance and repairs.
- Move furniture and other objects; assist in normal cleanup activities.
- Open facilities, set up chairs and tables for activities.
- Knowledge and skill in the use of equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of the safety aspects of work.
- Ability to perform manual labor, and building repairs
- Ability to read and write and follow directions.
- High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
- Some semi-skilled experience in the building maintenance field.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License with a good driving record.
Knowledge of routine manual work in the cleaning and upkeep of facilities. Knowledge of buildings maintenance. Ability to perform heavy manual labor under adverse weather conditions, follow written and oral instructions and complete daily worksheets and/or keep records. Skill in operation of equipment and tools related to the position.
