Job Summary:
The Part-Time Pool Manager oversees the daily operations of the Jessie Davis Park outdoor pool to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all patrons. Responsibilities include supervising lifeguards, monitoring water quality, maintaining pool equipment, enforcing policies, and providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and schedule lifeguards, pool attendants, and other aquatics staff.
- Ensure staff adheres to safety protocols and maintains high performance standards.
- Monitor pool operations, including water quality, temperature, and chemical levels, to meet health and safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Handle customer concerns, resolve conflicts, and provide a welcoming environment for patrons.
- Conduct regular safety drills and in-service training for staff.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, chemical usage, and employee timesheets.
- Oversee enforcement of facility rules, ensuring patron safety and compliance.
- Assist with special events, swim lessons, or other programs held at the pool.
- Open and close the facility as scheduled, ensuring security procedures are followed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- Prior experience in aquatics, pool management, or lifeguarding required.
- Current certifications in Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, and First Aid. (Water Safety Instructor certification preferred.)
- Knowledge of pool filtration systems, chemical testing, and water safety standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and supervise for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
