The City of Dublin is hiring! We are now accepting applications for seasonal employment for a Summer Camp Lead and a Preschool Camp Lead. General Purpose
Under general supervision, assist in planning and oversee the delivery of recreation program areas including preschool, playground, after school programs, parks, teens, sports, special events, and senior citizen; oversee the proper use of a community recreation facilities; perform a variety of custodial tasks; assist the public and staff in use of City facilities.
Distinguishing Characteristics
The Recreation Leader III classification is distinguished from the Recreation Leader I / II in the complexity of duties assigned, independence of action taken, the amount of time spent performing the duties, the nature of the public contact made, and its training responsibilities of new staff. Positions at this level are required to be proficient in all tasks associated with the delivery of recreation programs in assigned area of responsibility.
Supervision Received and Exercised
- Receives general supervision from a Recreation Coordinator. May receive technical and / or functional supervision from a Program Specialist.
- Exercise technical and functional supervision over Recreation I / II.
Work Schedule
Availability to work Monday to Friday, between 7 : 30 AM - 5 : 30 PM from May - August 2025 is preferred.

Training and Experience

Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; college level course work in recreation, leisure services, or a related field is desirable.
Experience
A minimum of two years' experience performing duties similar to that of with the City of Dublin.

Other than statutory law, AB1522 (CA Paid Sick Leave law), there are no benefits for part-time, temporary / seasonal positions. The City does not participate in the Social Security system except for a mandatory Medicare contribution. In lieu of Social Security, the City will contribute 1.5% of the employee's salary on the employee's behalf to the PARS Alternate Retirement System.
