Position Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY: Instruct or coach groups or individuals in tennis activities; demonstrate techniques and form, observe participants, and explain to them corrective measures necessary to improve their skills; develop and implement individualized approaches to learning; and direct and lead children and adults of various ages teaching Tennis skills, rules, etiquette and sportsmanship in a fun environment.

- Teach age-appropriate tennis rules, skills and techniques.
- Develop educational and training programs.
- Evaluate capabilities and training needs; and skills of athletes.
- Demonstrate activity techniques and equipment use.
- Enforce rules and regulations.
- Explain regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Administer First Aid or call for assistance as needed
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services which includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Education and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Service Orientation - Looking for ways to help people.
Supplemental Information
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- More than 1 year working with children and/or adults.
- Knowledge of tennis rules, techniques and philosophies.
- At least 16 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Leadership experience.
- Tennis knowledge and background including instruction preferred.
- Experience working with a diverse workforce and population
