POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides building and grounds cleaning, maintenance duties, and landscaping to provide a clean and safe environment for workers and the public.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned.
1. Keeps restrooms clean and supplied with soap, towels, and paper supplies.
2. Sweeps, mops, and buffs floors in offices, hallways, and other facilities.
3. Washes windows, screens, walls, and light fixtures.
4. Empties garbage cans and other trash receptacles.
5. Dusts, cleans, and polishes furniture.
6. Shampoos rugs and does spot cleaning on carpeting.
7. Perform set-up, take down, and cleaning of all rooms and areas.
8. Carries out routine tasks such as raising flag, assisting with deliveries, etc.
9. Makes minor repairs to the building, furniture, and equipment including filter changes, light bulbs, painting, patching drywall, battery replacements. Notifies supervisor of other maintenance and repairs required.
10. Performs lawn mowing, trimming, and related lawn maintenance. Shovels snow, de-ices sidewalks, and performs a variety of grounds maintenance tasks.
11. Maintains inventory of cleaning and paper supplies.
12. Ensures proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
13. Ensures all activities are carried out in a safe manner; adheres to all safety regulations; ensures all regulations pertaining to the safe use of equipment are understood and followed.
14. Reports all accidents to the appropriate authority. Follows all policies for reporting.
15. Provides backup assistance to other department personnel as needed.
16. Maintains appropriate records, including complete equipment repair history, work orders, daily job card, and other related data.
17. Reports to work for after hour needs, as assigned.
18. Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.02 per hour
