What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative - E.L. Hannah Community Center position at City of East Lansing?
Performs responsible clerical and customer service work for the Parks, Recreation and Arts Department at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center. Greet and assist customers with program and facility use; provide program and facility information; receive and record facility reservation, registration, and childcare funds; assist custodial staff as needed in event set-up and tear down; assist with special events; monitor all operations of the front desk, including staff schedule, policy development and training, and cash reporting and receiving.
Qualifications
Equivalent to a High School diploma, supplemented by specialized training in customer service or communications desirable, with one to two years’ experience dealing directly with the public. Ability to operate a variety of office and computer equipment.
Ability to be resourceful, alert and capable of exercising initiative and good judgment while working cohesively with others.
Must be able to pass a State of Michigan criminal history background check.
