The Digital Communications Coordinator (VE) supports the mission of Visit Edmond by coordinating website and social media efforts, tracking digital analytics, and performing administrative duties. This position involves dealing extensively with both internal and external customers and the public, so strong customer service and communication skills are key to successful performance of duties. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, with some work necessary on weekends and/or after normal office hours.

About This Position
The Digital Communications Coordinator (VE) supports the mission of Visit Edmond by coordinating website and social media efforts, tracking digital analytics, and performing administrative duties. This position involves dealing extensively with both internal and external customers and the public, so strong customer service and communication skills are key to successful performance of duties. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, with some work necessary on weekends and/or after normal office hours.
Responsibilities
- Maintain written content and visual assets on Visit Edmond's website
- Work closely with staff and website vendor to identify/fix issues with the website
- Organize monthly Visit Edmond Tourism Advisory board meetings, compile reports, post agendas, and record minutes
- Perform administrative tasks related to purchasing, inventory, and customer service
- Organize local deliveries and deliver mail to the post office
- Track advertiser digital analytics in the Travel Guide, website, and QR code generator
- Maintain the digital Travel Guide, track analytics, and organize digital assets
- Pull tourism impact reports and communicate with partners
- Organize and report lodging taxes for hotels and vacation homes
- Plan, create, and maintain social media content on all platforms
- Write, design, and schedule monthly email newsletters
- Assist with Strategic Planning initiatives
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality/communications preferred
- 12 to 23 months of related experience and/or training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years experience preferred
- Experience researching, compiling, and summarizing statistical data
- Google Analytics certification (preferred)
- Google Ads Manager certification (preferred)
- Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
- Experience with the following software platforms/sites:
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Social media
- Social media management
- Microsoft Office
- Google Workspace
- QR code generators
- Ability to effectively work on several projects simultaneously
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to demonstrate trustworthy service, tact, courtesy, and diplomacy
- Ability and willingness to use personal vehicle for business travel
- Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
- Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
