The Process:
The most highly qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the examination process which may include a Personal History Statement and Qualifications Appraisal Interviews. Successful candidates will be placed on an eligible list for employment consideration for at least six months.
Candidates selected for this position will be required to pass a thorough background investigation, including credit check, polygraph, medical examination, and drug screen.
Typical Duties
- Responsible for the location and safekeeping of assigned property and physical evidence;
- Maintains security of property on the work site;
- Inventories property using computerized bar coding system;
- May be required to conduct and/or attend hearings related to the release of property;
- Ensures that property is released to authorized agencies and individuals;
- Accurately records and inventories property within the detailed evidence storage filing systems;
- Recommends disposal of certain property when legally authorized;
- Maintains chain of evidence;
- Answers the telephone and provides information regarding the disposition of property;
- May be required to testify in court.
