The Recruitment Process:
The most highly qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the examination process which includes a Qualifications Appraisal Interview. Successful candidates will be placed on an eligible list for employment consideration for at least six months. The Qualifications Appraisal Interviews have been tentatively scheduled for March 4, 2025.

Education: Completion of two years of study at a recognized college or university with a major or significant course work in evidence technology, criminalistics or a closely related field. An internship in a forensic laboratory is highly desirable.
Experience: At least six months experience in evidence technology or criminalistics or a closely related field.
Special Requirements: Possession of or ability to obtain, prior to employment, a valid Class C California driver’s license with a safe driving record. Standby Time:
For those EMPLOYEES in the Forensic Evidence Technicians assigned standby duties, sixteen (16) hours vacation for each seven-day week to which they are assigned standby duties shall be credited to their vacation balance. If a holiday occurs during the assigned week, four (4) additional hours of vacation will be credited to the EMPLOYEE'S vacation balance.
Salary : $35 - $42
