Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate Planner will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conducting application reviews and site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Preparing and adopting land use policies and plans.
- Collaborating with senior staff to develop long-term planning strategies.
- Responding to customer inquiries and processing planning permits.
You will also be responsible for assisting customers at the front counter, and working with City boards and commissions to develop land use policy.
To succeed in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in Planning, Geography, or a related field, and a minimum of three years of experience in a related field.
