What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Water Resource Recovery Operator Intern position at City of Essex Junction?
The City of Essex Junction is seeking offers a Seasonal Water Resource Recovery Operator. This internship will provide hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of our Water Resource Recovery Treatment Facility.
The candidate(s) will perform the following functions:
Function:
- Assist with daily inspections of equipment and facilities
- Participate in seasonal projects and maintenance tasks
- Collect and analyze data related to water quality
- Conduct water quality testing and analysis
- Collaborate with experienced operators to ensure efficient operations
- Perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions
- Update records and documentation as needed
The qualified candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience with data collection, be comfortable working long hours outside, and can work independently but also as part of a team.
An interest in science, water quality, or engineering is preferred.
As an intern, you can work closely with our experienced team to gain hands-on experience in water quality and environmental conservation.
Pay:The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour.
Hours:
The work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, from May-August. The hours are subject to change once school starts to accommodate class schedules.
