Job Overview:
The Aquatic Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the swimming pool facility. This includes planning, organizing, and coordinating aquatic activities and programs for all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Work with City Hall, Public Works, and Friends of the Pool to develop a Pool Operational Manual prior to the new season
- Plan, organize, and supervise swimming activities and aquatics programs at the pool
- Assist in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and promotions for the City's pool programs
- Oversee proper sanitation and maintenance of pool water, including taking water samples and documenting readings
- Ensure cleanliness of restrooms, dressing rooms, and public areas
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR for Professional Rescuer certification required
- First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22) certification required
- Water Safety Instructor certification required
- Red Cross Lifeguard Training or acceptable current certification in lifeguarding required
Working Conditions:
This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and pool chemicals.
